Dracaena Compacta

Are you looking for a tropical touch in your interior? Then the dragon tree should definitely not be missing. The Dracaena deremensis Compacta stands proud on its trunk and has relatively short, dark green leaves: a sturdy addition to your 'urban jungle’. The term 'deremensis' (species name 'fragrans') refers to the strongly scented flowers that can come from the plant. Anticlimax: unfortunately this almost never happens at home... Yet this beautiful houseplant is a feast for the eyes and an asset to the indoor climate of your home. According to research by NASA, this plant is great at purifying the air. Not only does the dragon tree produce a lot of oxygen, it also removes harmful substances such as benzene from the air. Perfect for city homes and homes with little ventilation!

The Dracaena is a very easy housemate, because it can survive without water for quite some time. With roots in Africa, Central America and South Asia, this sturdy houseplant can take a beating. The dragon tree has no fewer than 120 species and owes its name to the blood-red resin that some Dracaena produce.

Ficus elastica Robusta

Origin

The Rubber Plant/Fig Tree (Ficus) has more than 1000 species, making it the most extensive plant species. Sometimes species differ so much from each other that you do not immediately realize that they belong to the same species. Most Ficus species are native to tropical Asia.

The Ficus elastica is the Rubber Tree. It got this name because of the sap (latex), which was an important source of rubber.

Characteristics and care

The Ficus does not like the cold and prefers a constant temperature. In nature this tree can grow enormous, up to 30 to 40 meters. The sap of this Ficus is irritating to the touch, and even poisonous if ingested. Place this plant in a place where children and/or pets cannot reach it. In addition to poisonous properties, this Ficus also has a few good properties, as it also helps to purify the air indoors. The 'Robusta' has dark green leaves.

Syngonium arrow

Syngonium Arrow or Pixie is a beautiful plant! The vines and lush growing leaves provide a tropical touch to your interior. The cheerfully fresh green color subtly shapes its beauty. The Syngonium has the appearance of a Philodendron. Both the Syngonium and the Philodendron belong to the arum family. A Syngonium can grow into a beautiful arching plant in a tall vase.

Care tips
The Syngonium is a plant with a good shelf life. She has no specific preferences regarding a light or dark location. She tolerates dry air very well, but prefers a humid environment, which also benefits her growth. The soil should be kept moist but the water should not remain in the pot. The plant is more resistant to dehydration than to excess water. Preferably give water that does not contain too much lime, such as rainwater. A Syngonium likes a warm and somewhat constant room temperature. A Syngonium does not like a temperature below 15°C.

Spathiphyllum Korto

The peace lily plant is known for its spoon-shaped leaves and flowers. Almost all Spathiphyllum varieties have white flowers and the leaves are fresh, glossy green.
This plant originates from South America.

The Peace Lily is an easy and flowering houseplant that does well in a location with less light. In addition, it is impossible to drown the Spathiphyllum. The plant can tolerate moist soil well, so make sure that the soil of the plant does not remain dry for a long time.

Ancient Asplenium

strong epiphytic fern species with fresh green leaves, native to the forests of Japan and Taiwan. A decorative plant that does not really have the appearance of a fern, with large tongue-shaped leaves. In older leaves, spore piles form in straight lines on the back of the leaves
